Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of Rolespan. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

We've written these in plain English wherever possible. Where a clause has specific legal meaning, we've kept the legal phrasing because the words matter. If anything is unclear, email support@rolespan.com and we'll explain.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher), to use Rolespan. The service is designed for adults making professional decisions about their careers.

By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password. If you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else, change your password immediately and email support@rolespan.com.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including the CV you upload. If our analysis is based on inaccurate inputs, the output won't be useful.

Using the service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Rolespan for your own personal or professional development.

You agree not to:

• Use the service in a way that violates any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or scrape our analysis methodology beyond what we publish openly.
• Upload CVs or content that don't belong to you, or that you don't have permission to share.
• Share your account credentials with others, or use a single account for multiple people.
• Interfere with the service's operation (denial-of-service attacks, abuse of automated tools, etc.).
• Use the service to create competing products or to train competing models.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where appropriate, we'll give you a chance to fix the issue first.

Payments and refunds

The free analysis is free. Paid plans are billed through Stripe and are subject to the prices shown at the time of purchase. We do not run anchor pricing tricks or fake discounts — the price you see is the price you pay.

Refunds are handled case-by-case via Stripe. If something genuinely went wrong with your purchase, contact support@rolespan.com and we'll work it out.

When a refund is issued, access to paid features is revoked automatically. You keep any free-tier outputs (your initial CV analysis) regardless.

Intellectual property

What we own

The Rolespan service — including the methodology, course content, site design, code, brand, and trademarks — belongs to Rolespan and is protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

What you own

You retain ownership of the CV you upload. By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of generating your analysis. See the Privacy Policy for the specifics.

Your analysis

The analysis report we generate for you is yours to use, share, and reference however you like. The underlying methodology that produced it remains ours.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page. Deletion removes your CV, analysis history, and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may terminate your account if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe your usage poses a risk to other users or to the service. We will give you notice unless circumstances genuinely prevent it (e.g. active abuse).

Disclaimers

Rolespan provides an analysis of your professional role's exposure to AI capability, based on publicly available data and the inputs you provide. We make our methodology public so you can judge its limits for yourself.

Rolespan is not career advice, legal advice, financial advice, or a guarantee of employment outcomes. The future is uncertain. Our analysis is a tool to help you think; it is not a prediction. Use your judgement.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the analysis will achieve any particular outcome for you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Rolespan and PIXLR Pte Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to Rolespan in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) SGD 100.

Governing law

We chose Singapore because that's where Rolespan is operated from. If you're using the service from a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws that override this choice, those laws still apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms when our practices change. Material changes will be announced via email or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

If you don't agree with a change, you can delete your account before the new terms take effect.
